The non-surgical means for weight loss include various diets, pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy and exercise.

Our multidisciplinary unit assesses the patient and begins treatment by non-surgical means. Our patients are assessed, the correct diet is discussed and commenced, exercise plans are worked out and pharmacotherapy is initiated.

Unfortunately the results of the above modalities are short-lived in most patients. Despite achieving good short term results most of the patients return to their pre-diet weight soon after they stop it. In those patients who have failed intensive and repeated medical treatment surgery is considered.
